A French onion soup

Hello darlings!

I hope you are having a lovely Sunday and that you have had a wonderful weekend. I have unfortunately been sick all weekend so I have been laying in the sofa watching series from Thursday to yesterday. Today I feel restored from the cold and decided that a warming soup would be perfect for the occasion. So, I made a French onion soup which was delicious!  If you have not tried this soup before you really need to!

Recipe for 4

5-6 onions

3 garlic cloves

3 veg bouillon cubes

1 tsp sugar

1 dl white wine

750ml water

3 tbsp. flour

½ dl fresh Thyme

salt & pepper

Bread

Cheese

Oven-proof pot

------------------------

Just cut the onions and fry it in the pan together with some oil or butter until the onions are golden brown. Then add the sugar and flour stir it well and make sure that it does not burn. Add the water, wine, bullion, garlic and the herbs. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Put on the oven on 250c. Cut up cubes of your bred and slice the cheese. Taste the soup and add pepper and salt after liking. When you like the taste of the soup place the bread cubes evenly on the soup and add the cheese. Put the whole pot in the oven for about 8 minutes or until the cheese has turned golden brown. After that you can top it with some thyme or just eat it as it is like I did. ;)
